Letter to Immanuel, Reiko and Ariel June 24 #283 #65 Celebrating Gong Gong and Mummy's Birthday, JB trip with God family, Kintsugi with Ko

 Hi Kiddos!

In June, we had some gatherings, birthday celebrations and also achievements! We celebrated Gong Gong's Birthday on the 1st of June, right after we came back from our Phuket trip. We bought chicken rice and had dinner together at the Home.

On the last week of the school holidays, we went to JB. Spent a day with our godfamily, Uncle Mark and family. We had lunch at this cosy place called Blue Door Coffee House at Austin Heights. Food was great and it was not crowded at all.

We hung around at the shopping malls, indoor playgrounds and also random car races. It was nice for the kids to hang out and play together.

Simple meals at our air BnB apartment.

We definitely had to go to Kfry for Imm's sake.. love the army stew, chicken and desserts there! Besides all the nice food, we also caught 3 movies, I not Supid 3, Inside Out 2 and Garfield :) One movie a day! It was nice just hanging out and spending time together without needing to think about work and school.

At other times, how we spend our days is hanging out at playgrounds..

Meeting up with friends - Seraphina and Augustine..

Or doing school related activities like making bubbles!

To celebrate Ko's early birthday, we went for a Kintsugi activity, it is an activity that invites us to think about how beautiful imperfections can be as well :)

We would purposely break the teapot/plates.

And then mend them with gold. Ko loves to decorate the gold pieces.

Yay, our accomplished pieces!

Meanwhile, Bi had fun dressing up the dolls in the new craft book..

Daddy would bring kiddos out for lunch during the school hols.

And swim, must be active!

Mummy celebrated my birthday with good friends, grilled food at I'm Kim..

And also together with hunky guys at Mr Mookata! The outlet at Dempsey was really nice and quiet.. good service too:) Also had Mummy's favourite cake from PS Cafe.

Mummy turns 40 this year!

We also celebrated Damien's birthday at Benjamin Sheares Bridge.. so awesome to see all the kids playing together

And we had dinner at Kallang Wave Mall at Gourmet Pizza.. the kids gobbled up the chicken drumlets..

Celebrating some achievements, Ko had her white belt with yellow tip in Taekwando.

And Daddy received the award for donating blood for 150 times!

Champion of Champions!

What an awesome June and half year just flew past! Let us continue spending meaningful and quality time for the rest of the year!

Letter to Immanuel, Reiko and Ariel May 24 #282 #64 Trip to Phuket, Bi's 5th Birthday celebration

Hi Kiddos!

Looks like we had an eventful May! On Labour Day, we went to Punggol Safra Waterpark together with Eli. Thankfully we went there early and avoided the crowd.

One of our favourite family meals was going to Mookata! Went to this place at Yishun called One Pot Chicken, food was pretty good! Love it when the kiddos eat a lot!

Stuffed Imm

We also celebrated Mother's Day by having Bi colour a princess picture for Mother Mary and offering it to her at Risen Christ Church.

Had a nice homely dinner :)

Had one of Ko's specialities - homemade squeezed orange juice.

Ko's Mother's day card, with Haiku somemore... Imm gave his a few days later so didn't manage to upload the photos.. Mummy love handmade cards!

Since Ko had a day off from sch, we went to JB together, just 3 of us! Had her favourite dim sum - esp Ha Kau!

We went to Popular in which Ko and Mummy chose 2 notebooks. Looking at what she chose, Ko is definitely the more matured one.

Mummy and Ko caught a movie "If" in which the creatures were all of imagination. It reminded Mummy not to lose our imagination even when we grow up :) Daddy went to have a massage on his own.

To celebrate Bi's birthday, we went to Snow City! It was our first time there.

Actually the whole place was pretty cold! And we weren't dressed up for it. We were a little frost bitten.. Managed to have a a bumper car ride but we had to queue rather long for it.

Happy after our ride, means we can go out into the warmth again! :D

On other days, we do normal things on the weekends, like catch up with work. Love it when Imm can focus like this! Imm's focus is pretty good when he wants to:)

Bi decided to wear Ko's old dance costume to ballet... hehe

Bi loves posing for such things!

Ko's friend, Averie invited her to her party at Super Park. This was a card that Ko drew for her, so creative and nice! Ko's cards are amazing!

At Averie's party

In May, it was also the IJ schools celebrating the 170th anniversary. It was a big event at National Stadium and shown on Youtube. Glad that Ko could be part of this event :)

Our birthday celebration #1 for the family - Bi's birthday! Auntie Rina managed to book the function room and all the godparents + kids could gather together.

Earlier in the month, it was also Auntie Susi's birthday! We had a dinner out at Swenson.

At the end of the month, we went on a trip to Phuket together with Wai Gong and Popo. Stayed in a luxurious apartment at Mai Khao's Marriot Beach resort.

There was also a fireshow on one of the weekdays.

The beach was not as fantastic but we enjoyed the sunset views :)

It was pretty self contained and we could play pool or even cycle. We made use of the gym and indoor playground the most.

This was at our 2nd apartment near Splash Jungle Water Park. It was also huge and luxurious.

One of the activities we did was having our massage and Bi got to braid her hair. A happy girl indeed!

A pic of us jumping and dining in the pool. We loved it cos it was not crowded at all, Imm and Ko enjoyed the rides with daddy while Mummy and Bi hung out at the different small pools. We really enjoyed the Lazy River too. Altogether, it was a fun experience with the family!

Had a lot of fun at the start of the school holidays and going to have even more fun towards the end of the school hols! Something to look forward to again!
