Malaysia Getaway D1 : FanPekka!

Monday, October 30, 2017 0 Comments A+ a-

As a graduating trip for Imm, we decided to do a 3D2N Malaysia getaway. Like our Japan trip, it must be a bombardment of play-heaven of kids' activities. After the trip, it felt so good that we felt it was needed to put it down somewhere as future reference. Esp for friends who might want to do the same thing. So here goes Day 1:

After church and breakfast, we set off on our journey from middle of Singapore via Tuas to Tebrau City. Some experts would say I am silly because I should have taken the Woodlands causeway. True! But it's because I had mistaken Fanpekka to be in Bukit Indah instead of Tebrau... The Beat the Jam app is totally awesome to use for planning when and which causeway to go via by. It is one reason why we decided to go in on a Sunday morning and out on a Tuesday evening.

Happy faces outside Fanpekka. But this was part of Tebrau City Shopping centre thematic displays on various countries. The shopping centre is really quite big!

This interactive wall display measuring heights was quite captivating. Even before we paid to go in, we got stuck here for a while.
So cuttteeeee. The kids have a passport each which they have to stamp to get past the checkpoint.
The place is massive. The beauty of it all is that we almost had the entire place to ourselves. I kept thinking of the kids in Singapore squeezing in Cool De Sac on a Sunday morning.
There's an area which the kids can "build their own" houses in a modular fashion and furnish them accordingly. We had fun combining 2 houses to make a 2 room flat.

And of course a market place where the kids can "buy and sell things"

And also a dress up area!
We also had lunch at SDS cafe which was attached to Fanpekka. It is a chillout place for parents though we spent more time in the playarea monkeying around ourselves. Here's Imm having a healthy bite on an airplane theme plate.

The kids enjoying a mandatory ice-cream at Secret Recipe after 6 hours of fun!
Fanpekka was really fun! It also had some show times and very clean toilets. It opens from 10am - 10pm daily. It's a bit odd that finding the website is a little hard from Aeon website but Google helped.

Because we went on a Sunday and with nil promo, we paid full fare of 2 x (1 adult + 1 child) = 2 x (11 + 55) = RM132, around SGD44. It's definitely a winner without the crowd!

After the day, we drove to our AirBnB at Afiniti Residensi just beside Legoland where we toured the place, enjoyed a dinner then a swim before retiring after a tiring day!

Totally awesome view at the roof top overlooking Legoland

Koko enjoying the outdoor sofas with the sunset. I have no idea what Imm is doing.

At the Mall of Medini just 3 mins walk away, it was a little quiet but they were celebrating Deepavali still.

Stuffing ourselves at Old Town Coffee Shop with noodles!

Hi Ko!!

It was your first time like Kor playing with sparklers! You were definitely much more afraid....  Yet after that you would say you wanted to try it again :)

Our family times at Marche where we could play and eat. Daddy loves the rosti there!!! And we all love the carbonara... yumz! Family meal times are so fun together when we could play too..

We also went to Waterway Park.. we collected our SIA charity run shirt the day before and since we didn't bring extra clothes, we just changed into our run shirts and Mummy went to buy shorts.. last min strategy so that we could still play in the water. :)

We are in the midst of packing things.. taking a long time since we could only do most of it on weekends.

Mummy won tics to the Mindchamps event "we are proud of you". You were really happy to be bouncing so much on the castles...

And also enjoying the sports games!

Then we went off to procede with colouring activities. Both you and Kor really loved to colour.. overall it was a really fun experience as we got to enjoy all the games in the comfort of air conditioning. :) May we win more tics in future ok?

Hi Imm!!

This looks dangerous! haha.. something fun we did over the weekend.. playing with sparklers! It was really fun seeing how you and Ko looked so excited about it, as it was your first time. It was to celebrate Mid Autumn festival... decided to just do it outside the house as we have no more neighbours! yes... we are staying in our new house beside popo.. just have to wait for renovation... isn't it exciting??!!

We started to shift some stuff into the house... since we were not going to renovate the whole place.. the living room looked so welcoming already.. right? Both you and Ko were excited seeing your old toys again as we were unpacking... you can't wait to move in and kept askin when.. Mummy could not give you an exact date but to tell you it will be soon!

Latest art piece of buildings..hm, were you scared the picture will drop? :)

And painting your next one! Halucha! Art teaches us perseverance and discipline right?

One of our dinner times at Marche! We love the Fussy kids meal.. super worth it.. we have rosti with sausage, ice cream, fresh fruit juice and most importantly a playground!!

More physical activity at Waterplay Point!

Mummy was also very blessed to win tics to Mindchamps event "I am Proud of you". Certainly love the huge amount of bouncy castles! And because it was a paid event... it was much less crowded! Mummy loved it!!! :) The fact that you could have lots of fun.:)

Colouring in progress before we could scan our picture for it to be on screen!

Such lovely times.. Mummy definitely treasures all these times with you!

Hi Ko!!

2 weekends ago was a simple time, just having ice cream while we were on our way to collect race packs. Some things never change with you..  simply love ice cream! But you were eating sooooo slowly that the ice cream was dripping all over.. gosh.... in the end Mummy had to finish up the ice cream for you!

You have such a lovely smile! You really enjoyed the simplest moments!

You can be pretty fierce and angry when you play with Kor... It is so funny how you would scrunge up your face!!!!

A family shot together!!
