Deer Park Cafe and Franky's!

Today was another eventful day!! We actually went to 2 kids places for our lunch, something we had never done before, as both places were rather near to each other.

It is situated at Vredehoek and is a cosy little cafe. There is a large play area for kids and most of them were there with their children.

Immanuel likes to climb obstacles these days. I am able to let him play more on his own now as I know he can be rather careful.

I will be pushing Reiko on swings (most of the time when we go playgrounds because she loves swings). See the happy smile on her face!!

Perfect picturesque moment of playtime.

Foodie time! We had Mac and Cheese for the kids and Butter Chicken for ourselves. Did not want to overeat because.... we are planning for our next lunch venue!!! :P

Boy, it seemed like a normal retro type of place from the outside but it was pretty nice! Hm, to me, the food was pretty "junkie" but I always let go on weekends, let the kids have a bit more nice snacks as well as watch tv longer (maybe 20 mins instead of weekdays max 10) :P I ordered a banana split that comes with Vanilla ice cream and all those toppings for the kiddies to share as I thought Reiko would want the banana. But in the end she didn't.

Nonetheless, they really enjoyed it still!!

After their dessert, off they go and play! This is a rather safe area and we could watch the kids. Despite other kids running around, it seemed safe for Reiko as well as it is well protected. Slides are not so steep. As usual, Immanuel has become the very outgoing boy these days and always make friends at playgrounds. He is always running off with another boy and then introducing us to his new friend. This was so unlike him when he was younger as he used to be shy. Maybe it is a growing up thing or maybe the constant changes also make him warm up to new environments faster.

No matter the size of the swing, she will sit in it, the queen of swings.

And while they play............. we enjoy our Franky's burger!! There is also a burger challenge which Hub considered to take up. It costs R 160 (about $20) to purchase this burger but it will come free if you are able to finish it in 6 min. It has 6 patties, fries with the sides........ hmmmmmmmm....... Yummmy!!!!!! and you can get to be in the hall of fame. Behind Hub is the list of names of people who managed to secure the throne.

Whilst driving home, we saw a beautiful whole rainbow. It is truly beautiful. May we all find 2 pots of gold at the 2 ends of it. :)
