Malaysia Getaway D1 : FanPekka!

As a graduating trip for Imm, we decided to do a 3D2N Malaysia getaway. Like our Japan trip, it must be a bombardment of play-heaven of kids' activities. After the trip, it felt so good that we felt it was needed to put it down somewhere as future reference. Esp for friends who might want to do the same thing. So here goes Day 1:

After church and breakfast, we set off on our journey from middle of Singapore via Tuas to Tebrau City. Some experts would say I am silly because I should have taken the Woodlands causeway. True! But it's because I had mistaken Fanpekka to be in Bukit Indah instead of Tebrau... The Beat the Jam app is totally awesome to use for planning when and which causeway to go via by. It is one reason why we decided to go in on a Sunday morning and out on a Tuesday evening.

Happy faces outside Fanpekka. But this was part of Tebrau City Shopping centre thematic displays on various countries. The shopping centre is really quite big!

This interactive wall display measuring heights was quite captivating. Even before we paid to go in, we got stuck here for a while.
So cuttteeeee. The kids have a passport each which they have to stamp to get past the checkpoint.
The place is massive. The beauty of it all is that we almost had the entire place to ourselves. I kept thinking of the kids in Singapore squeezing in Cool De Sac on a Sunday morning.
There's an area which the kids can "build their own" houses in a modular fashion and furnish them accordingly. We had fun combining 2 houses to make a 2 room flat.

And of course a market place where the kids can "buy and sell things"

And also a dress up area!
We also had lunch at SDS cafe which was attached to Fanpekka. It is a chillout place for parents though we spent more time in the playarea monkeying around ourselves. Here's Imm having a healthy bite on an airplane theme plate.

The kids enjoying a mandatory ice-cream at Secret Recipe after 6 hours of fun!
Fanpekka was really fun! It also had some show times and very clean toilets. It opens from 10am - 10pm daily. It's a bit odd that finding the website is a little hard from Aeon website but Google helped.

Because we went on a Sunday and with nil promo, we paid full fare of 2 x (1 adult + 1 child) = 2 x (11 + 55) = RM132, around SGD44. It's definitely a winner without the crowd!

After the day, we drove to our AirBnB at Afiniti Residensi just beside Legoland where we toured the place, enjoyed a dinner then a swim before retiring after a tiring day!

Totally awesome view at the roof top overlooking Legoland

Koko enjoying the outdoor sofas with the sunset. I have no idea what Imm is doing.

At the Mall of Medini just 3 mins walk away, it was a little quiet but they were celebrating Deepavali still.

Stuffing ourselves at Old Town Coffee Shop with noodles!
