Letter to Reiko #203 Love and Discipline

Hi Ko!!

we didn't go out much this week so there weren't much photos.. also because you were a little sick... you kept complaining about stomach pain. It is really rare to see you sick cos you are usually in the pink of health! Mainly because you love your fruits.. :) Anyway you were feeling a little better today so we had some physical activity just below our block!

 

I remembered praying in the night and I was thanking God for a good breakfast session with popo in the day. You asked "did you go to a restaurant?" I said yes and you said accusingly, "why you bring popo to a restaurant but always bring us to hawker centre?" I said that it is popo birthday and once in a while I want to treat her. I asked if you will treat me next time. you said, "but you always scold us". Imm said, "but is for our own good." Hehe.. I hope you can understand that Mummy disciplines for a reason and even more so when you are the strong wilful type. A strong character is good but Mummy hopes you can be more disciplined and be self motivated. :) Still it is an ongoing journey. Even Mummy and Daddy are working hard everyday to self discipline and manage ourselves. I do hope you will understand that we discipline you because we love you very much.

Hi Imm!!

We had a simple weekend this week... hm a picture of me and popo first.. we went to have a nice brekkie at Coffee Academics to celebrate popo birthday. 1 to 1 time is important and I really miss that with you when Mummy was not so bogged down by work and studies.. still glad that we still always have our famiy time... :)


It was just simple scooting around the estate. It really takes so little to make you happy and it is always nice to have some sun.. makes us all happier! :)


Letter to Reiko #202 Celebrating Ko's birthday and The Paddlepop Moments

Hi Ko!!

We celebrated Popo's birthday this week. Your face looked so funny, and what was amusing was that you just looked angry for the sake of looking angry.. hehe! That is like your signature look these days!


We enjoyed ourselves at dinner.. this curry fishhead was really nice but of cos you didn't like spicy stuff.. Nonetheless Mummy treasures every moment that all of us can find time to have a meal together!

And later in the day enjoying paddlepop together!


These few days, Mummy realised that Ko is more argumentative.. it is difficult to outtalk you.. looks you are trying to assert yourself even before you reach teenager stage.. hehe.. Nonetheless mummy hopes that you continue to grow well and even though you love to talk back, you are still a loving girl who kisses my tummy everyday! :)


Letter to Immanuel #202 Celebrating Popo's birthday and Soi 19 Breakkie...

Hi Imm!!

Mummy just love this very goofy picture of you. You can be so ridiculous :P we went to eat at Soi 19 near mama's house and you loved the noodles, esp wantan noodles or fishball noodles.. :)


More food up next! cos we went to celebrate Popo's bday at a coffeeshop in Toa Payoh Lor 8.. Daddy calls it Feixiong but Mummy cannot remember the name now... but what I can say is that the curry fishhead is awesome.. popo loves it!


The kway teow was nice too!


All in all, we had a good time just having a nice meal together! :) Though you were a bit whiny at the beginning for whatever reason, you are sure in a good mood now.. that's you, you can change your moods really fast!

We also went out for some household errands and Daddy got nice paddlepop icecream for you!! Look at your happy faces! :D


Hi Imm, so fast we are almost at mid Jan... glad to know you are coping in school. You love taking the school bus cos you made a new friend David, and his mum is Daddy's friend! What a small world :) Anyway it is good to know you are are enjoying school.. Mummy still has to do a lot of encouraging and pushing at times... but overall, you are growing to be more responsible. :)

Letter to Reiko #201 End of 2018 and Beginning of 2019

Hi Ko! 

we celebrated our Xmas day in church first. Went together with Eli. It was so fun seeing 3 of you playing happily together. 


Together with the Nativity Scene - simple and yet impactful and peaceful. :)


Later, we went to Fusion Spoon and also met up with Auntie Rina, Uncle Andrew and the children to have lunch.

After lunch, we went to feed the fish together with Eli. It was so fortunate that Mummy brought along extra bread so we don’t need to spent more of $1 buying misery packets of food for the fish. Hehe. It was a way to spend a relaxing Xmas day together! 


In the night, we went to spend time with the cousins. And that is when both of you had lots of presents again! Mummy felt guilty cos I did not have time to buy Christmas presents this year cos I was just tired and busy this year. And I did not like buying last minute gifts.. we must start early this year!


But I guess the funnest part is unwrapping presents together and seeing what each other gets. :)


We opened our presents 1 each for the whole week to practise our delayed gratification skills.

It was a relaxing way to end the year because we also went to Tampines hub during the week and played at the bouncing castle there. 



On the 30th of Dec, we went to have rosemary chicken at Auntie Joan’s house again! You unbashedly asked for fruits everytime when we are there and Auntie Joan will gladly oblige.. hehe..

We are so lucky to be invited!


This was the first day of school when we woke at 4 plus. At 6 Imm called you up and both of you started playing lego...


Dear Ko, it is the beginning of the new year again. Mummy hopes we can continue making great memories together. It is also the last year that you are in K2.... enjoy your last year at childcare and times with your friends! :)




Letter to Immanuel #201 Last week of 2018 and First Week of 2019

Hi Imm!!

Is a new year again!!! But Mummy hasn't blogged about the last week of the year : we celebrated our Xmas day in church. We Went together with Godpa and Eli. It was so fun seeing 3 of you playing happily together. 



A nice set up at IHM church. :)


After mass, we went to Fusion Spoon and also met up with Auntie Rina, Uncle Andrew and the children.  


We also went to feed the fish together. It was so fortunate that Mummy brought along extra bread so we don’t need to spent more of $1 buying misery packets of food for the fish. Hehe. It was a way to spend a relaxing Xmas day together! 



In the night, we went to spend time with the cousins. And that is when both of you had lots of presents again! Mummy felt guilty cos I did not have time to buy Christmas presents this year. I was simply too tired and last minute buying is not my thing. But we shall hunt for pressies like from June this year! :P


Christmas presents opening is such a joy for you and ko. We spent 1 week opening.. cos 1 or 2 each day.. depending if you have finished your daily tasks, hehe.. delayed gratification!




It was a relaxing way to end the year because we also went to Tampines hub during the week and played at the bouncing castle there. 



On the 30th of Dec, we went to have rosemary chicken at Auntie Joan’s house again! You played together with Darryl but fought a lot more cos you did not want to play monopoly with him.

 And... the first day of sch started.. we all woke at around 430 am.. and by 6, ko was up too and playing lego together with you.. hopefully, we can maintain the good sleeping and waking habits throughout this year. It feels so healthy and good!


And also to continue your favourite activity during the weekend.. soccer!


Hey Imm, just know that Mummy and Daddy are always here to support you in your work, studies and life no matter what... cheers to new beginnings and new hope! :) May we continue to work hard to create wonderful memories.. we love you!
