Letter to Immanuel #92 Home Activities and Our Little Artist

Hi Imm!!

Mummy loves this smiley pic of you as we were making dirt balls over the weekend... looked so happy. Before that Mummy scolded you though, which was why you had a bit of running nose... this weekend, you were at home as Ma-ma was away in India with Daddy and whenever Mummy is not around (if I bring Ko out), you would want to play with the ipad... :( This made Mummy very angry cos I had planned activities for you before I go out. Anyway when we came back, we started doing our dirt balls together and you were happy again.

It was really simple... we had 1 packet of oreo and 100 g of cream cheese.

We had to start smashing the oreo bits with the rolling pin and then mix the cream cheese in.

After rolling them into balls, we start to decorate with the gummy worms.

Tada! This was how they looked like!

Other fun we had was doing the water art.... Mummy had to fill the brushes with water and paint over the pics. Both you and Ko were pretty fascinated.

Happy with the art!

And learning how to make numbers with wiki sticks.

Mummy introduced you to coding.... you really liked it. Daddy introduced it. We always racked our brains to combine something you like to something that is "useful" instead of random play and youtube all the time. It is not easy when it comes to that, hee..

Also introducing P1 maths.. number bonds.. taught you using dinosaurs.

Some of you latest art pics! Maybe I have uploaded this before...

This is your latest swimming one... so nice.. with an extra pokeball somemore, haha... and Nemo fish!

So proud of you my boy!

Letter to Reiko #92 Home Activities Over the Weekend

Hi Ko!!

Something we did over the weekend: dirtballs with gummy worms! More for Halloween. Mummy just wanted to do a simple activity with you and Kor for Halloween. You were smashing the oreo bits with the rolling pin... yay, what you really liked! :)

After smashing, we had to squeeze the cream cheese together with the oreo and mix it evenly.

It was funny how you could not resist eating as we were moulding the dirtballs...

So happy each time that you popped one into your mouth.

It looked like that... I wished we had gummy worms of different colours but there was only 1 colour fr the packet. It was supposed to look as though worms were crawling out of the dirtballs.. :)

Another activity we did was to colour using water... this was really nice.. cos all we had to do was to fill the brush with water and then when we painted over, all the colours would appear. Yours was princess theme and Kor one was animal theme.

Wiki sticks! Another activity from Amazon...  Kor was teaching you how to fold the sticks nicely around the number. Mummy is trying to teach you writing now so it like doing number formation.

This is how it would look like!

Letter to Reiko #91 Visit to Art Museum and Having Peranakan Food

Dear Reiko,

Somedays, you are really so irresistible that both Daddy and I really want to just hug and kiss you all day. This morning, I commented you were a little naughty over an event and you said "you said that I am cute what, why naughty". It is really funny when you keep making funny faces these days as well. Anyway, Daddy was back last week.. we went to eat Peranakan food near NUS and Daddy wanted to take a photo with you. You were eating halfway and had this funny wry look.... :)

One of the places that we went to was National Art Gallery.. Mummy didn't realised it was so fun! I had been wanting to bring both of you but sometimes I choose to go to easier places esp Daddy is in India. :) I am so happy that we get to wear our family T shirts again! And all of us can still fit into them! Hehe..

This was outside the gallery.. there were some colourful plastic coins which you can slot into the holes. Both you and Kor love to gather a lot of them and start slotting them in. Seems so fun that we were here for sometime and Mummy started wondering if we don't need to go to the other areas. :)

It is so pretty inside! You saw this rabbit and wanted to sit on it. We told you that you couldn't and Daddy carried you to "sit" instead, exposing your tummy!

You were hungry halfway so we went outside to snack. When we go out, Mummy has to constantly remember to bring food for you because you are motivated by hunger... kor is another story... he will not remember to eat when it comes to play. haha...

A family pic together!

There were many sections inside the museum so we explored quite a bit. This was pretty fun.. it was similar to lego.. Mummy is amazed.. is like using recycled cardboard boxes... environmentally friendly! And both of you start to build a border around yourselves.. like staying in a little house.

Some children did some projects and both of you are busy looking at them..

We also attended the wedding of Auntie Peifang, Mummy's JC friend... how come you looked so listless.. haa..

Daddy and Mummy went on a date during one of the weekdays! A photo of us! :)

Letter to Immanuel #91 National At Museum Fun for Kids and Peranakan Food at Heng Mui Keng Terrace

Hi Imm!!

This week was such an eventful week for us because Daddy was here for the longest time yet... one week! And he was on leave! Though Mummy was working on weekdays.. we still managed to enjoy ourselves very much on the weekends... is so true.. you really treasure somethin when it is rare and I think this week was really close to our hearts. :) And this pic showed your really focused look! You enjoyed making kueh pie ti for all of us and also enjoyed eating them! Nice Peranakan food near NUS.. and me and Daddy were saying that this was there we met... hee

A father and son shot! Daddy kept commenting you are such a good boy... Mummy agrees.. actually you are really sweet :) though sometimes you can be super playful and addicted to the ipad... that is when Mummy gets angry with you.

Before the dinner, we went to National Art Museum.. Mummy didn't know that it was such a wonderful place.. having you and Ko sure takes me to places that I have never been to in Singapore! :)

You and Ko really enjoyed slotting these colourful coins. You especially... you just wanted to almost stay there all day. Something therapeutic about slotting??

You  love exploring...

Family photo together! Yay!

Some art pieces that other kids made that you and Ko really enjoyed looking at. Mummy is so impresssed by all their creativity.

Mummy also loves this seriously... they are like cardboard lego! Well, I am super into recycling and they looked like they are recycled... haa... anyway it was so much fun building structures with them!

Making a tiny house just for you and Ko!

This was cut out using magnetic paper... which Mummy actually has loads of it but no time to have any use for them... hmm.. new ideas.. you started making a sun, a watering can, and it sprays out water onto a flower...

We also attended Mummy good friend, Auntie Peifang's wedding at Regent Hotel... during the lunch.. you were so bored and kept asking us ,"what should I do now?". We will get very irritated because we know what you wanted to and didn't want to give it to you. In the end, you crawled into the stroller and slept... and didn't even wake throughout the yum seng.... others were pretty impressed... you are just like Daddy!! Haha.... sleeping like a log truly describes both of you!

Mummy and Daddy went dating while both of you are in school! :)

Hi Ko!!

You really enjoyed swimming... You will usually swim only when Daddy is around because Imm will be learning his swimming. Mummy doesn't really go as I needed to keep an eye on Imm sometimes as he likes to wander off when coach is teaching... though he is getting better now. Look at your happy face just by playing in the water! :)

During the weekend, we went to "The City" at Liang Court... Daddy is so funny.. made you wear an oversized postman clothes which was dropping down... hahaha.. still, you really enjoyed it!

Kor is feeding  the dinosaur!

You are the cashier at the supermarket! You love scanning the products!

Dinner with Clara Jie and Alex Kor! We had pasta and then ice cream!

Look at the amount of things that Daddy brought when he came back again!

Playing at Amazonia at Great World to celebrate Children's Day! :)

I will share more pics of Daddy in the next post! Both of you sure had a great time this week! :) Play is sure your main activity!
