Dear Ko,

Mummy would like to update on how that you have been to us at your 2 year old mark. I remembered wanting to do it earlier but never truly did a full update but I did snapshots and now the milestones detailed our journey together...

Here goes.... *takes a deep breath*

I still remembered vividly that it was a difficult time giving birth by myself because Daddy was still in London at that time. He had planned to come back 1 week later and he was actually back 1 week before but you chose to come out right smack in the middle at 37 weeks. Daddy said he was angry with you, so naughty that you wanted to come out when he was not around. Still, labour was only for 2 hours and when Mummy first saw you, I teared, you were so tiny and you looked as though you were smiling at me. When I could hold you, I remembered checking your head to see if you had two "zeng" like your kor and heaved a sigh of relief when I saw only one. Well, you know how they say children with two zeng are naughtier and I had experienced it firsthand. :P hehe...

This was Mummy's very first shot of you since there was no one else who could do it. Fresh from the oven!! Our first eye contact...

You slept well and was a good girl. The only frustrating thing in the beginning was you drank your milk really slowly, taking abt 1 hr at times! Haha, mummy will prepare my favourite show and then feed you. I remembered watching "beauty and the geek" seasons then.

At 2 months old, you went to London with us. You accompanied me to sit in business class and you behaved so well! The passenger beside us said you behaved even better than some other business class passengers! Yes, you were so mild, so sweet, so gentle. You loved to smile and coo at us from 3 months onwards and I also heard your first "cackle" at 3 months when mummy was dancing around with you. Thank you dear, you made life easier for me when I had to handle you and Kor by myself when Daddy was working.

Here you are, about 2 months old and couldn't hold your head much. Kor couldn't wait to carry you... he is always bugging me to carry you and I am scared he will drop you or squeeze you too hard.

Mummy loved your baby pyjamas hand me downs esp this of the leopard prints... hehe

Baptism on 18 Sep 2013, our greatest decision for you at that time :) We hope you will love your faith journey and we will try our best to nurture this seed in you.

This was you on 21st Sep 2013, 2 months old plus with Godma and Godpa at Uncle Ajie's wedding...

This was you about 4 months old.. you were so cheerful then and now too! Just that you have your moods now with your character.. hehehe

Celebrating our 1st Halloween together!

Mummy trying to practise letting you have tummy time.

Shaved your head when you were about 5 months I think! You were soooo cool abt it!

You just love watching the pinwheel. Mummy don't spend much on frivolous items like those automatic music type.. heee... oops

At 5 months however, we returned to Singapore as Daddy was posted to Cape Town. Mummy decided to stay in Singapore with you and Kor first so Daddy could settle things there and it would be more stabilized. You became very close to Popo then because she would always take care of you and play with you. I always commented that both of you are like best friends:) You started to sleep less and sometimes took some time to sleep. Mummy then got irritated at times. Sorry that Mummy can be quite impatient and thankfully popo can soothe you to sleep.

Here you are at about 6 months!!

You rolled out of the mat at abt 6 months old and looked so gleeful!!!

At this time, Mummy brought you for photoshoot. You behaved well though you didn't sleep much. You are such a smiley baby..

This was you around 9 months old... you start following me wherever I go... and I started humming the tune "follow him wherever he may go... there is no ocean too deep.. lalalaa"

And soon walking around pushing this chair...

When you were nearly 1 year old, you started to jump when you see Kor coming back from school. You love to play with him but you cry often as he will try to play and "bully" you. That's what siblings are for right? :) You started to walk and take steps shortly before 1 year old, which was fast.

Toddlerhood was near!!

You started being mischievous.....

Showing disdain for certain food. But you were a pretty good eater usually and was eating by yourself at 1 year old. Mummy cleaned up after you tirelessly until you are 2 years old and you are definitely much better!! :P You are such a stubborn girl and refused to be fed since 1 yr old. I have suffered since.

One thing Mummy is amazed at is how much you can eat. You really love your fruits and sometimes I would think that they are you mains. When you were younger, like about 1 yr old, you love corn and tomatoes but you don't like them now. Now, you like eggs and mushrooms a lot. One thing you always love is soup, esp beetroot so mummy will always make for you. Till one day you tire of it, I will stop. Since beetroot is good.

Your laughs are contagious..

And you started to be more girly, dancing in dresses and clutching bears to sleep..

At 18 months, you attend Playgroup in Cape Town. You cried for 2 weeks but now you really enjoy going to school a lot.

 You loved learning...

And posing...

Mummy is amazed at the sentences you can speak when you are between 21-24 months. It was an explosion of vocabulary. You could probably speak so well cos Kor is always talking to you. You started to say "bye! See you tomorrow" when you pretend to carry your bag to school. You will say "Ma-ma, can you run?" when you want Ma-ma to chase you around. These days when Kor says you fart (when it is actually him), you will say "no, it is not me". When mummy ask you if you want apple, you say "how about pear".

It was also between 1.5 years to 2 years when you start showing cognitive skills. You are able to match shadows to their pictures and fix 2 piece puzzle.

Mummy hopes you continue to be as fun loving as you are now.. but less cranky and naughty periods ok? :)

Love you loads and always will,
our little girl...
